A Grey Laura-Jay Day…

Earl submitted some photos from another recent day aboard the Laura Jay. What “late” season tuna fishing may lack in comfort seems to be more than made up for in terms of agressive feeding fish. Add to that the opportunity to “sleep in” as it were (the nights are longer), and it becomes a little easier to put up with a chilly grey day with somewhat angrier seas.

It was on one such grey day with somewhat angrier seas that we were able to “sleep in” and still get out there early enough to witness some incredible action. The sheer amount of life out there is impressive. Whales, dolphins, a seal, birds, bait, fishermen, and yes bluefin tuna were all present. Many thanks to Capt. Jay from Laura Jay Charters (www.LauraJay.com) and Earl Evans for these excellent photos.
