06 May Gear Review: Quantum Cabo PT Fishing Reels
The Quantum Cabo and Boca reels are starting to arrive in the shop and they are stunning. The earlier versions of the Quantum Cabo and Boca sold well as a result of a well earned reputation, but reviews were mixed on the overall durability. Enough so that Quantum even thought of dropping the names and starting over. In the end they kept the names but the new version of the reels has little to do with the previous generation. The Quantum engineering team focused on improving performance under heavy loads. The difference between Cabo and Boca is that the Cabo has 2 more ball bearing and proprietary alloys are used in the gear mechanisms. Both are “PTs” which is Performance Tuned for Saltwater. The internal images hold true for both models. Take a look at all the new features and the improved performance as a result with the new 2013 Boca and Cabo. We think you will be impressed.

The chief design objective for the Quantum engineers was better performance under bigger loads. The bad ass styling is a bonus. As far as load goes I’ll let this picture do the talking.
