saltwater fly tying

Fly Tying – We offer classes from “introduction’ to “advanced”. Participating in the full fly tying curriculum will create a base of understanding and technique that will enable you to tie most any saltwater fly. We also, on occasion, have Guide Fly Classes focused on a particular style of tying of fishing situation. These classes include a discussion of appropriate techniques and tactics. rod building

Rod Building – We are happy to partner with Ted Zack of the Aquidneck Island Rod Builders to host our Rod Building classes. Ted is an amazing builder and a patient teacher.  In the introductory class, all students build a similar 7 foot spin rod (you choose the action) to ensure all the fundamental techniques are covered.  The class meets on a Saturday for the hands-on instruction, and then again about ten days
later for feedback and rework. After Ted’s class, you will be capable of building a wide variety of fishing rods. Click here for details.
